“SpotOn makes you move” is not just our claim, it’s our aim and the way we work with the athletes. Proper communication and a sensitive understanding of the needs of motorsport athletes is one of the keys to success in marketing, and there’s no better method to work on that besides just plain, simple, effective socialisation. Talking, in other words.

Athletes should be able to fully concentrate on their sport. Passionate lateral thinking is very important. The driver is training and driving, we as marketers, on the other hand, are doing the same in our field of responsibility. Therefore, we are there to help, support and manage everything else that is essential in the racing business.

Motorsport marketers should use their strategic potential for customer-oriented thinking, creative ideas and professional implementation of events, marketing concepts, athlete appearances, sponsorships and much more. And do it all in an extremely focused way.

"Marketing people should always stay up-to-date in every single direction, from trends in social media marketing to the newest technologies in the industry, from what a key person whispered about anything relevant in a garage to the examining the potential of new markets and monitoring their growth."

For the success of brands and athletes, a synthesis of strategic competence, cross-media thinking, social media and brand marketing is needed, also an affinity for sports and definitely a strong network.

Apart from this, the marketing people should always stay up-to-date in every single direction, from trends in social media marketing to the newest technologies in the industry, from what a key person whispered about anything relevant in a garage to the examining the potential of new markets and monitoring their growth.

Do not make all decisions on your own, it’s just not worth it. Ask around and let everyone be part of the process at the right time. After some time, you will complement each other which leads to intuitive understanding. That is the goal, that is what you want after working together for some months to let them become years. “Coming together is a beginning, keeping together is progress, working together is success”, said none other than Henry Ford. That’s still considered solid advice.

It is important to set targets and make a plan on how and when to achieve them. Content plans, as well as timelines, are helpful instruments on the way, never forget that. Your aim is to be the perfect partner for athletes who want to fully concentrate on their careers, we already touched on that. Therefore, you need high-quality solutions and professional answers to every question and – sorry for the boring marketing term – you really need to know your target audience as well. No one wants to fail so you have to have them in your mind all of the time.

We sincerely believe in the concept that you can only be successful if you are truly, madly, deeply in love with what you are doing. Passion leads to success, and if doesn’t every single time, it definitely helps a lot. Surround yourself with passionate team members, enjoy the time and celebrate your achievements!
