Red Bull Showrun Thrills 40,000 Fans in Budapest

Budapest’s Stefánia Street was transformed into a motorsport festival on Sunday, as Red Bull Showrun roared into the Hungarian capital, drawing more than 40,000 passionate fans.

The weekend spectacle featured everything from Formula 1 cars and MotoGP machines to drift champions and freestyle stunt riders. The standout moment came when Red Bull ambassadors David Coulthard and Patrick Friesacher took to the streets in the Oracle Red Bull Racing and Visa Cash App Racing Bulls RB7s, thrilling the crowd with high-speed runs and tire-smoking doughnuts.

Fans also took part in the action by voting for a special helmet design for Friesacher. More than 6,000 people chose between artists Dániel Törőcsik and Mentha, with Mentha’s graffiti-inspired creation revealed live at the event. His design, blending Red Bull’s signature colours with personal touches such as the words Gratitude and Love, was unveiled to loud applause.

The lineup didn’t stop there. The Red Bull Driftbrothers, Mad Mike, and Sam Sam lit up the asphalt with spectacular drift displays, while Aras and Jonas Folger delivered jaw-dropping motorcycle stunts to close out the day in front of the iconic Puskás Arena.

Reflecting on the event, former F1 star David Coulthard said:

“Red Bull Showrun is always a great opportunity to bring the atmosphere of F1 closer to the fans. It’s not just about motorsport—it’s a real festival where we can share the unique spirit of racing.”

Drift champion Mad Mike added:

“Driving through Budapest with over a thousand horsepower under the hood and seeing the passion of Hungarian fans was unforgettable. I can’t wait to return.”
