Being an avid motorsports fan, during the summer months of school and university years, he gradually worked his way through the ranks of a racing team from mechanic to team manager. Under Alexey’s management, the team won two team cups in Russian Circuit Racing Series in 2016 and 2017.
In 2017, he was appointed as CEO of ANO “ROSGONKI”, the Formula 1 Russian Grand Prix promoter. He is the Chairman of the Circuit Racing Committee of the Russian Automobile Federation.
Alexey Titov is not just working in motorsports, he is also competing as a racing driver – he won and finished as a runner-up at many Cross-Country Rally World Cup and Russian Championship rounds, as well as Africa Eco Race.
In a long interview granted to Match TV microphones, the head of the Russian promoter Rosgonki, Alexey Titov, preferred not to comment on the rumours about a possible change of venue for the Russian Grand Prix, underlining that the only commitment of the organizer, to the moment, is to ensure the smooth running of the 2021 edition.
All I can say is that we were very lucky last year because despite a global pandemic we were able to run the Sochi event safely and efficiently. There have been some issues, but we will take them into consideration for this year. We will try to make the whole weekend even safer not only for the teams but also for the fans in the stands.
[bsa_pro_ad_space id=49]We hope that most of the restrictions will be lifted by the end of the year. A move of this type would allow us to carry out the world appointment with a format that is as similar to the traditional one, with autograph sessions and maximum interaction between fans, teams and drivers. We are working for the best possible GP.
