The Aston Martin Aramco Formula One Team has announced a new partnership with Eight Sleep, the world’s leading sleep technology company, as part of its performance strategy for the 2026 Formula 1 season.
At the highest level of motorsport, marginal gains determine outcomes. High-quality deep sleep plays a decisive role in sustaining physical and cognitive performance across a long, high-pressure calendar. This partnership underlines Aston Martin Aramco’s commitment to optimising every variable that influences results – including sleep.
Turning Sleep into a Performance Lever
Eight Sleep will equip the team with its flagship product, the Pod – an AI-powered sleep system engineered to optimise recovery through dynamic temperature regulation and continuous physiological tracking.
Built on one of the world’s largest proprietary sleep and biometric datasets, Eight Sleep’s technology transforms sleep from a passive activity into a controllable performance lever. Unlike static, one-size-fits-all solutions, the Pod responds to the body in real time, adjusting night by night to training loads, travel demands, and race schedules.
Research across Eight Sleep’s global member base shows up to a 34% improvement in deep sleep and reports of 41% better overall sleep quality – reinforcing sleep’s role as a critical driver of recovery, focus, and competitive edge.

The Eight Sleep logo will appear prominently throughout the 2026 season – on the side of the car’s nose, on driver balaclavas, cooling vests, and handheld cooling fans used in the garage.
A Culture of Marginal Gains
Jefferson Slack, Managing Director – Commercial and Marketing at Aston Martin Aramco, said:
“In Formula 1, performance is the result of marginal gains accumulated over an entire season. Sleep is a critical performance input, and Eight Sleep’s AI-powered technology allows us to optimise recovery in a way that static solutions cannot. Their approach will give our drivers and team a real edge, and we’re excited to partner as we continue to raise the bar for performance.”
Matteo Franceschetti, CEO and Co-Founder of Eight Sleep, added:
“Aston Martin Aramco represents a new standard in how teams think about performance. From world-class engineering to the relentless pursuit of marginal gains, this is an organisation that understands that results are shaped by what happens long before the lights go out on race day.
At Eight Sleep, we have built the most advanced sleep technology in the world for athletes and high performers. By combining AI, real-time physiology, and one of the largest sleep datasets in existence, we help turn recovery into a competitive advantage. We are proud to support Aston Martin Aramco this season as they push performance to its limits.”
Why Sleep Matters in Formula 1
With 24 races across multiple continents, jet lag, changing climates, simulator work, engineering debriefs, and relentless travel all place significant strain on drivers and crew. Cognitive sharpness, reaction time, decision-making, and stress management are all directly influenced by sleep quality.
By integrating advanced sleep optimisation into its performance ecosystem, Aston Martin Aramco continues to align elite engineering with human performance science – a decisive factor as Formula 1 enters its new regulatory era in 2026.
