This appointment comes at the end of a recruitment process conducted by a jury of selection, itself supported by a recruitment agency specialised in the selection of executive directors.

Currently engaged in the implementation of an effective investment plan, the Circuit is experiencing a transformation phase to respond to its strategy of obtaining dual FIA/FIM approval that will allow the return of motorcycle endurance to Spa-Francorchamps and to make improvements in the spaces dedicated to spectators.

Amaury Bertholome, CEO of the Circuit of Spa-Francorchamps, commented:

I am thrilled to participate in developing the Circuit of Spa-Francorchamps, an economic, sporting and tourism driver with a strong sense of identity in our region. The economic development of Wallonia is promoted through sites of excellence that ensure its prestige. The ambitious strategy pursued by the Circuit for several years now allows it to be retained on the map of unmissable circuits in motorsports, hosting fabulous world competitions while preserving its accessibility for the benefit of the local people. I am thrilled to continue implementing this strategy with the team in place, very committed and active, and to amplify it further on the environmental plan.

Melchior Wathelet, Chairperson of the Circuit of Spa-Francorchamps, added:

I am delighted with the decision to appoint Aumary Bertholome as the new CEO. Hit by the tragic loss of Nathalie Maillet, the Circuit has needed a new CEO capable of bringing teams together and continuing Nathalie’s revamp. Amaury Bertholomé knows the structure and the Circuit’s short- and long-term challenges. As part of his previous roles, he has also nurtured ongoing relations with the Circuit and Spa Grand Prix teams.
