In a celebration of British heritage, engineering excellence, and timeless craftsmanship, Glenfiddich — the world’s most awarded single malt Scotch whisky — has partnered with the Aston Martin Aramco Formula One Team to unveil Glenfiddich 1959, an ultra-rare expression available exclusively at Harrods this July.
Timed to coincide with the 2025 British Grand Prix, Glenfiddich 1959 commemorates the year Aston Martin made its historic debut in Formula 1. This remarkable release brings together two icons of innovation and performance in a limited-edition bottling that stands as a symbol of shared values and pioneering spirit.
Originally revealed at the Las Vegas Grand Prix, Glenfiddich 1959 marks a milestone in a multi-year global collaboration between Glenfiddich and Aston Martin. With only a handful of bottles available worldwide, the whisky is set to become one of the most coveted releases of the year.
To elevate the rarity and prestige of this collectable edition, Glenfiddich has partnered with acclaimed Glasgow-based designer John Galvin to craft a bespoke presentation case. Scheduled to be unveiled later this year, Galvin’s design reflects the refined precision of the Aston Martin Formula One Team and Glenfiddich’s deep-rooted whisky-making heritage. The case will feature premium materials such as Scottish ash and copper, honouring Glenfiddich’s distillery home in Dufftown and symbolising the fusion of tradition and innovation.
“This one-of-a-kind release is a true celebration of artistry, performance and legacy,” said Lawrence Stroll, Owner and Executive Chairman of the Aston Martin Formula One Team. “1959 was a landmark year for Aston Martin — not only marking our Formula 1 debut but also our victory at Le Mans. To honour that year with a whisky of this calibre is a fitting tribute to the passion and excellence that define both brands.”

Crafted from a rare sherry butt laid down in 1959, this exceptional single malt offers a sensory journey through time. On the nose, it reveals deep layers of aged oak, leather, tannin, and beeswax, evocative of the earthy stillness of a dunnage warehouse. The palate unfolds with warming spice, cloves, dates, and dark chocolate, culminating in a luxurious, enduring finish of dry, rich tannins — a liquid echo of Aston Martin’s sophistication on the track.
“This bottling captures a moment in history,” added Brian Kinsman, Glenfiddich’s Malt Master. “When we discovered this 1959 cask, we knew it could only be reserved for a tribute of this magnitude. It perfectly reflects the innovation and endurance that connect Glenfiddich and Aston Martin across generations.”
With an ABV of 45.6%, Glenfiddich 1959 is not only a whisky — it is a collector’s item, a story in a bottle, and a tribute to British excellence. Available exclusively at Harrods’ Fine Wines & Spirits Room, this once-in-a-generation release marks a historic toast to the Silverstone Grand Prix weekend — and to a shared pursuit of perfection on both road and track.
